AGGREKO COOLS 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP BROADCASTERS!
TEAMNet Partner, Aggreko, along with its joint venture partner Shanduka Group, has been providing temporary power and temperature control for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa since before the games began.
The sole provider of broadcasting power in all 10 World Cup stadium venues, the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) and FIFA headquarters, Aggreko is also “keeping it cool” by providing temperature control at the IBC.
Aggreko’s support is enabling the broadcasting of 64 matches to over 3-billion people world-wide. The project necessitated the installation of some 185-miles of cable and 30-megawatts of generating capacity.
Aggreko has customers in 20 countries in Africa and is providing over 1,000 megawatts of temporary power on the continent. The “power house” offers energy and temperature control solutions to customers who need them either very quickly, or temporarily. And no job is too big. They’ve even helped to power up entire cities during times of shortage.
