TEAMNet (represented by Terry Quick of ENTCO International) recently partnered with WOI (World of Incentives), sharing a booth at the IMEX show in Frankfurt, Germany. IMEX is the essential worldwide exhibition for meetings and incentive travel (with exhibitors representing national and regional tourist offices, major hotel groups, airlines, destination management companies, service providers, trade associations, etc.) and WOI is a network of twenty-six Destination Management Companies that create and manage high-quality events in key incentive destinations throughout the world.

As a result of their cooperative efforts, 70 companies approached WOI for membership this year…which is great tribute to the partnership!

TEAMNet and WOI were prepared with their secret weapon to help draw attendance: Caricaturist Steve Hartley. Each day of the show, Steve created caricatures for the buyers in a matter of seconds, in front of the WOI booth – Over 750 caricatures drawn during the week of the show! Steve was quite the charmer, entertaining and attracting crowds by quickly drawing fun, amusing caricatures of attendees.

Steve tried to break his own record of number of caricatures drawn in an hour -- although he didn’t break his record of 129 last year (he did 128 this time), Steve Hartley still is, unofficially (at least by Guinness standards), the world’s fastest caricaturist. Terry Quick of ENTCO International has been working with and representing Steve for years. After all, using interactive and variety artists, such as a caricaturist for example, is a great way to bolster interest at a booth. In this case, attendees not only had great fun, but they also went home with a memorable keepsake displaying the TEAMNet logo.
