In 1998 an alliance was forged between TEAMNet and European-based World of Incentives after a chance meeting in Chicago during the ITME show. At that time, TEAMNet was alive and well in the United States, but had no representation in Europe. The opposite was true with the World of Incentives. After much discussion and comparison of membership qualifications, it was decided among the leadership of both organizations that an exclusive alliance would be mutually beneficial. A formal agreement was drawn up and signed in Athens, Greece in February of the following year.

Since that time, all trade shows in which TEAMNet or World of Incentives market themselves are done in partnership one with the other. This serves to maximize marketing dollars as well as industry recognition and client support on both sides of the Atlantic. After seven years, we can honestly say it has been a very positive and productive experience. A prime example of the mutual benefits lies in the fact that one of the 2003 award winners for the Event Solutions Magazine “International Event Planner of the Year Award” was introduced through the TEAMNet alliance.
